Oscars '12 :What a night!

Stars did come out for this spectacular event and even though I always end up watching parts of it thanks to timezone issues with US and being in Europe I managed to catch the highlights. The elegance and grace the stars display to the awards itself. I love the fact that genuine raw talent gets appreciated and the awards are given based on the true star performances.  I guess our favorites are the Pitt and Clooney nominations but I wasnt surprised that 'The Artist' did walk away with a lot of awards. The Oscars are always known to highlight the best movies of the year and well deserved I must say. So moving on to the 'Fashion' segment which is what I really look forward to as well. I was anticipating to see some of my favorites like Jolie to Jlo and even Cameron Diaz...but some were huge disappointments. 

I mean Diaz just looked so very 'ordinary' according to me. She could have added a bit more Umph factor to her outfit...Emma stone looked so very pretty in bright red almost...She mentioned on the red carpet she wasnt too sure about what her colour was and compared it to pomegranate fruit. The other favs for me were Angelina Jolie for sure, its her favorite black again but she looked a million bucks! Though her leg pose generated more buzz than the Oscar's itself! I guess thats what they call star power. Jlo, Sandra bullock, Gwyneth to Elizabeth olsen, Katie holmes and Beckhams were so very glamourous and gorgeous! On the other hand, the men were dressed to impress as usual and for me my all time favorite Tom Cruise looked so very chic and stylish. Adore you tom! Ian somerhalder who is my favorite looked his usual best, on the other hand, Nina's make up for me didnt really impress. She looked very ordinary in a black dress. Either ways here are the best of the Oscar Elton john - Pre Party and red carpet events. Btw, I have been featured on SMASHION for an interview! Isnt that cool?? Here is the link ;)
